My Story
Hello. My name is Stephanie Baker. I am a Certified Reiki Master/Shamanic Practitioner and the owner of Love, Light and Healing. Before I started on this journey, I had many different careers including Software Testing, Information Security and owning a Gentle Sleep Coaching business, which helped children sleep through the night. The job I cherish the most is being a mother to three amazing girls. As many moms are aware, motherhood comes with many challenges, worries, self-doubt and exhaustion. I had always lived a very active, healthy and clean lifestyle, but I still found myself going hard and then crashing every few weeks. I went to my doctor who ran a lot of tests all of which concluded that I was perfectly healthy, but the Chronic Fatigue (as I later learned I had) continued to occur. I started to see a Naturopath who helped a lot, but it didn't fully go away. And then for no known reason, my sleep fell apart. A friend of mine recommended I see a Reiki Practitioner. At the time, I didn't even know what Reiki was, but I was desperate so I agreed to give it a try. I saw a Reiki/Shaman Healer and she changed my life. It was the puzzle piece I was missing in my journey to heal. I have learned that often times chronic illness can be linked to emotional trauma. I grew up with an alcoholic single mother so I had a good amount of emotional trauma in my life. I had blocked energy and chakras which left my body weak, ungrounded, disconnected from Spirit and out of balance. It was such a powerful experience that I brought my husband and my children to get energy healing too. It has transformed our whole family in so many wonderful ways. It made such an impact on us that I wanted to help people in the same way. I got certified in Reiki I and Reiki II, completed a Shamanic apprenticeship and then got my Reiki Master's certification. I am so excited to share energy healing with moms, families and anyone else who is interested in improving their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
